Day 3
Day three was the best yet. It was a great idea to decide to stop scrutinizing every detail that happened in the day and just enjoy the flow. Looking back on it, it was one of my best days this month. I think the quality of my conversations was one of the things that stands out in my memory. I dared to say what I really felt or experienced no matter who I was talking to. And it opened the door for some interesting conversations with family members, friends, and strangers. Some of the rewards of this experiment include:
- I started a new habit of checking in regularly with myself/the divine/universal intelligence/etc.
- I feel more overall gratitude thanks to learning to ask what the gift is in each situation
- I feel an overall greater trust in myself, in my hunches, preferences, desires, and opinions
The data doesn't necessarily speak volumes, but I included a graph for the pure pleasure of it. Obviously this experiment would have to be conducted over a longer period of time to more accurately define the trends.
Ultimately, this was a great experience, and I would even recommend doing it yourself if you can stand an alarm going off every hour. I am sure there are ways to improve the experiment so please report back if you make any discoveries! It is always a challenge to change your habits and typical ways of thinking and operating, and this seems like it has been a solid way of getting started. I am interested to continue writing posts for this blog from a place of connection to that great wisdom that is within (and without) all of us. So stay tuned. Life is unfolding every second!
